Pricing
While much was still to be determined when Ford originally announced their plans for the Rattler trim, it was promised to be affordable for the average off-road connoisseur. This trim was also designed to fit nicely between Ford’s FX4 Off-Road Package and higher trim levels like the Tremor and Raptor in terms of cost and performance. At just over $400 more than the FX4 Off-Road package, the better equipped off-road rider Rattler comes in at a retail price of just $1,450.
Features
Compared to a lower level trim F-150, notable upgrades can be seen around the vehicle. For instance, the new 2023 Rattler trim comes standard with dual exhaust with black exhaust tips. Additionally, the Rattler trim also includes 18-inch dark-painted wheels with fully-capable, all-terrain tires. Other updated features included fog lamps, privacy glass, an electronic rear window defroster, and a Rattler box-side decal.
Performance
On the mechanical side, the Rattler trim offers upgraded shock absorbers, rear shocks, front differential, skid plate, and transfer case. Engine-wise, Ford offers three different options to choose from, you have the 5.0 V8 Coyote, 3.5L V6 EcoBoost, or 3.5L V6 PowerBoost. As far as drive and handling go, the Ford F-150 Rattler also includes off-road specific driving modes like Hill Descent Control and Rock Crawl Mode.
