The 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor is an extraordinary dynamo with a potent engine, full complement of off-road capabilities, intrepid styling improvements, and daring exterior paint colors. The Raptor vehicle is set to become the fearless favorite of Sulphur off-roaders, a wonder bent on excitement and fun on the bayous, muck (and rocks!) of Southwest Louisiana. With four doors and a wide body - it is 9.8 inches wider than a regular Bronco – the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor is an explorer atop massive tires.
Distinctive amber LED running lights denote the truck’s blacked-out grille with a giant Ford oval. A full-size spare is bolted to the rear liftgate between immensely wide fenders. The Raptor Graphics package adds splatter graphics on the sides and hood. For 2022, two new colors are available on the Bronco, Eruption Green Metallic and Hot Pepper Red Metallic. The other exterior colors are Velocity Blue Metallic, Shadow Black, Iconic Silver Metallic, Area 51, Cactus Gray, Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat, and Oxford White. Code Orange is also new and exclusive to the 2022 Raptor!
The 2022 Ford Raptor has a relaxed but performance-oriented cabin. The wide horizontal dash panel has a big and vibrant 12-inch infotainment touch screen, conspicuous Bronco logo, and digital gauge cluster. Black marine-grade vinyl upholstery is standard with rubberized washout flooring. Ford Performance standard front seats are exclusive to the Raptor while orange highlights accent the air vents, door netting, gear selector dial, and steering wheel stitching. Available as well are synthetic suede upholstery and carpeted flooring.
Beneath the massive hood, more than 400 horsepower is produced by the 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission with unique Ford Performance tuning. The real dual exhaust system with active valves changes its sound based on drive mode: Normal, Sport, Quiet, and Baja. In the Bronco universe of ‘Goes Over Any Type of Terrain’ driving modes, the new Baja mode lessens turbo lag and helps increase performance at high rates of speed. The tow/haul mode can handle up to 4,500 pounds.
The 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor is equipped with Ford Performance 17-inch wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich 37-inch K02 tires. Underneath, Ford Performance front and rear control arms provide a massive suspension travel of 13 inches up front and 14 inches in the rear. The standard Bronco High-Performance Off-road Stability is boosted by 3.1 Internal Bypass Semi-Active Dampers with position-sensing capability. Sensors at each corner monitor and adjust suspension tuning hundreds of times every second.
The 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor boasts terrific safety and driver aids, such as Automatic emergency braking, Pedestrian detection, Automatic high-beam headlights, Hill-start assist, Post-collision braking, Forward-collision warning, and a rearview camera. Also standard is a full set of technology such as Sync 4 infotainment software with over-the-air updates and advanced voice controls, a 360-degree camera system, and connections for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 10-speaker B&O audio system and adaptive cruise control are available with the Lux package.
